![]() Growing up in the 1930s, in the Polish town of Bielsko, I escaped as soon as I could from the nannies who were supposed to look after me and my brother. When I think back to my childhood, what I remember most is the freedom – to explore on my own, take risks and play the rebel, learn about life for myself. ![]() Sometimes I look at children today, being taken by car from one place to another, and I wonder when they get the chance to have any real fun.
